On Record???

Why does Congress have to ask who received the bail out money they spent? It gives a whole new meaning to “BLANK CHECK.”  And we wonder why they can’t balance the budget…

9/11… 9/16. Can we just skip September this year?

I know you’re familiar with the cliche about the pot calling the kettle black. Well today in The State, SC’s largest newspaper, the editorial cartoon was of a big pot labeled Congress on the stove sitting nex tto a kettle labeled AIG. These are the words coming from the big pot: “The unmitigated call! The arrogance! Who do you think you are, wasting the taxpayers money like that?”

I wrote a post about that Called Who’s to Blame. See http://janetwalgren.wordpress.com/2008/10/25/282/ I don’t know when the voters will get it. What will it take? We can change it, but we cower in the corner like helpless victims.

Is it that we are talking heads that lack action, or is it that our vote and influence has been diluted by the huge wave of immigrants who got voting power without learning the concepts behind our democracy?

There are definitely too many hands out wanting to get something for nothing. Perhaps we just don’t care until the harsh reality hits us personally ~sigh.

For those who don’t know, 9/16 was the official start of the collapse of the Wall Street domino effect/Congressional “Ponzi” bailout scheme.
