Mormon Soprano, Thank you again. I like when people post comments on my blog. I know from the numbers that most of my readers are the silent type and I would love to know more about them and their thoughts. Anyway, I appreciate your comments. Thanks!

A very sweet post. I love hearing your personal stories. What a darling man your dad is, and you have written such a lovely tribute. I need to remember to come read your blog on a regular basis so you don't get 5 million of my comments all at once! :)

Thank you so much for your comments. I really appreciate them.

I hope that everyone who still has parents living will appreciate them a little bit more. I hope that you will interview them, get their memories on tape or paper and preserve them for your posterity. Learn of their genealogy and save it for the future. On our trip to Monticello I had so much fun asking my dad about his life. Answering my questions made his day.

This was so enjoyable! What a long and rich life he has lived, and it sounds like he still has plenty of vim and vigor left. A 3K at 86? Wow!
